VAWC Leave (RA 9262)
Women employees who are victims of violence are entitled to paid leave.
Key Provisions:
- Duration: 10 days with full pay
- Extendable: When necessary as specified in Protection Order
- Purpose: Medical attention, legal proceedings, counseling
Coverage:
- Violence by husband or ex-husband
- Violence by live-in partner or ex-partner
- Violence by dating partner
- Includes physical, sexual, psychological, and economic abuse
Requirements:
- Barangay Protection Order (BPO), or
- Temporary/Permanent Protection Order from court, or
- Police/barangay blotter
