Special Leave for Women (RA 9710)
Female employees who undergo gynecological surgery are entitled to special leave.
Key Provisions:
- Duration: 2 months (60 days) with full pay
- Coverage: All women in public and private sectors
- Eligibility: After at least 6 months of continuous service
Covered Procedures:
- Hysterectomy
- Ovariectomy
- Mastectomy
- Other gynecological disorders requiring surgery
Requirements:
- Medical certificate indicating the procedure
- Certificate of need for surgery from attending physician
